Multiple intelligences test

I was presented with the opportunity to take the multiple intelligences test and let me share the results I got.

Test shows that I have good kinesthetic and logical intelligences. I got 20 points from the both of them. That means that I am good at sports and have a tendency to make patterns and rationalize everything I can. These statements are quite true I thought when I first read them. Let us see if the test will be right in other categories.

The second thing that the test told me is that my interpersonal skills vary much more advanced than interpersonal one. This statement was clearly true I thought. The test is doing his job! But on the other hand I did not liked the dramatic difference between the categories. I do not consider myself awkward in social settings as the test made me think. Nobody is perfect as someone once sad, and this test is surely not perfect I will ad

The other categories were also interesting to read about. My musical and linguistic intelligences were on the norm. They were average and I consider that fair.

All in all, I found this test entertaining and fun, but I would not rash in making radical assumptions about it being 100 percent true.

Personality

Today I had an ability to do an interesting personality test. The results that I received were vary interesting so I decided to share them.

I was diagnosed if I may say so with having an INTJ personality. From the start it was not very clear to me what that meant, but latter I discovered something even more interesting. The test stated that my main personality characteristics was being introverted. What a new new I thought, but luckily I kept reading on. So it showed that my personality is based on rational thinking and pattern making. That seemed very interesting to me and after a few minutes I discovered a lot of similarities between myself and the main characteristic INTJ personality type has. I am very happy of the result.

All in all even though some people may not find there truly fitting personality definition in this test I suggest investing your time and answering questions truthfully. It is truly worth the trouble.

Cloning

I think that there are not a lot of subject that started even a half of the debates and arguments for and against than cloning did. This relatively not new invention of modern day science is revolutionising our understanding of what is man capable of doing and how deeply can he interfere in phenomenon’s that only nature should be able to manipulate. So without further introduction lets begin this interesting topic of discussion.

Let us start by defining what coning really is. It is the process of making a cell product, or organism that is genetically identical to the unit or individual from which it was derived.  Sounds simple? Lets get to the more tricky part then. Even thou the procedure of cloning is getting more and more developed every day the opposition of this invention is also growing. Why is that?

The answer to this question is more from the ethical perspective. From that point of view cloning is an unforgivable activate. Activity because of which the balance of nature is being interrupted. Man should not be able to manipulate with people genes mainly because of two reasons. Evolution has taken thousands of years to construct the gene packaging that we are now using. We newer said it was perfect, but it is stable and fairly well structuralized and whit little drawback. There is only a fairly small number of geneticall diseases in our population, but according to some experts this all will change if cloning will spread. One of the academy of cloning opposition leaders Mr Martin Grubs states that the use of genetically modified and cloned products is potentially dangerous to human health. He also proceeds by telling how immoral and unethical cloning really is.

All in all, nevertheless cloning is not perfect. Mr Martin Grubs was right when clearly stating that, but I still think that it should not be completely rejected. It is possible that all these drawbacks will be dealt with and the phenomenon that could do harm to humankind will actually make it better.

Happiness of different nations

Every nation is unique. Because of that fact it should not be a surprise why different countries have different happiness levels. Yeas it is true! The science of psychology has evolved such a state that even measuring happiness of countries has become possible. So lets begin analyzing this subject

Let us start by talking about one of the most powerful superpowers of the world. Yeas let me say something about USA. This country has reached the top 3 of the most happiest countries in the world. Why is that? Is it because the economy of this nation so well developed? And what about the soaring crime rate and other problems this hugely diverse country faces? Why these factors do not play a role in the level of happiness? The answer is shocking. Personal relationships and family values are making these huge problems go away in a instance. So it shows that they are the most important criteria of happiness. The biggest after equality. Lets talk more about equality.

Zimbabwe. The country that has long been and by some prognoses will always stay at the bottom of every ranking scrooll. This country is also at the bottom of the level of happiness studies. What a surprise! Everyone can agree that the economy of this nation is dead, that civil unrest is common and people are being ruled by an authoritarian dictator who will rather let his country perish than make way fore democracy. All these reasons are why Zimbabvie is one of the most not happy countries. The level of equality plays a huge role as well. Zimbabwe is far from equal. It is one of the most diverse and double standards embracing society that has ever existed.

All In all two main factors emerge from this study. Equality is very important for the level of happiness to rise in a country and that family values are the foundation on which great happiness and magnificent things can be built.

Stress Busters

Every person is individual and unique. Because of that fact it should not be surprising that not all stress coping strategies are good for everyone. People use a variety of different methods when time comes to deal with stress. Let’s see which strategies are most commonly used by the people.

Some are lightening the stress by absorbing themselves in mental activities. For example an advertising agency’s chairman’s way to relax is by writing. Not many people find such an activity useful when dealing with stress. Nevertheless, he still enjoys working with a pen to forget the stressful world around him.

Others like to unwind by getting away from the city and spending time near the sea. One member of the parliament really fancies long walks on the beach. He thinks that the time spent while watching the crashing waves helps realize how insignificant ones decisions and actions really are and how a person must realise that surely not all things are determined by him.

But that is not all strategies one can use. The most important thing by one business executive is not to let your work related matters get mixed with personal ones. On the other hand his colleague thinks that by doing simple domestic tasks individuals can dramatically decrees there stress levels and keep their environment tidy at the same time.

All in all, I think that it is safe to say that every person must find his own method to unwind the pressure. There is no method that could be suited perfectly to everyone, but there surely is a specific one for a specific person.

Giving Entire Cultures a Personality Test

A person’s individual character is basely determined of the distribution between certain personality dimensions. Based on the idea of individual differences the scientists developed a concept that group differences also exist. These distinctions are more commonly known as stereotypes. Researchers began rapidly developing methods to evaluate the reliability of cultural stereotypes.

The research grounds were based by developing cross-cultural questionnaire. These tests were also designed to show the typical national character of a given society. Survey participants were asked to highlight the characteristics of a typical member in their culture. The collected data was further analyzed by searching for correlation between the temper of an individual and his culture personality stereotype.

The results showed that people had no difficulty in summarizing the national identity of their culture. Nevertheless these opinions dramatically differed from the actual personalities of these participants. The findings made it clear that the personality stereotype is caused by how the members of a given culture see themselves based on historical events and exaggerations, but not who they really are.

English language invasion

Officials of China and France are declaring concerns about the increasing invasion of English words into their national languages. The current situation is even being compared to the invasion of Nazis in France during World War II. The authorities are now taking actions to save their national identities.
The everyday use of such English words like ok, bye-bye, nice and many others are increasing in spoken Chinese and a lot of barbarisms written on the walls of France are the first warning signs that actions must be taken. The French government even led a debate and accounted that over 80 percent of the population agree that the national language is closely associated with the cultural identities of the people.
The Chinese had limited the screening of foreign films and banned websites like YouTube and face book and the French made their national language mandatory in government publications and public schools to fight the negative phenomenon. Officials in Beijing even prohibited every publication, company name and directed them to be translated to Chinese.
Despite the efforts some people are still using English words while speaking in there national language trying to state their open mindedness. The contra argument to this is that people must respect their national language to be respected and positively visible by others.
Nevertheless, not everyone agrees that the invasion of English must be stopped. Some state that this is a natural process that shows expanding culture and companies in France want there branches to be named in English because they think that will make them more recognizable.
