My English for special purpose classes are coming to an end so for that occasion I decided to write my final self assessment and make conclusions regarding to my progress. So without further introduction let us begin.
ESP vocabulary test for me were quite difficult, but nevertheless I believe that the knowledge I got from learning all the definitions was really worth the time I spend while studying.
Writing summaries was one of the most time consuming and demanding tasks of all. I remember spending hours in trying to compose a good summery, but still failed to get a decent mark. Writing in an official style was not as simple as I thought it would be.
I also was assigned to present some power point presentations or as we call them PPP’s. It was quite interesting to do this task, because I had the ability to deepen my understanding about a particular subject and explain it to my classmates with a colourful presentation I made. Sadly, but the spelling in the presentation was not perfect. Nevertheless I am happy with the result.
Moodle test were not the hardest part of my ESP classes. I found them quite easy. The most important thing while doing them is not to be distracted and everything should be ok.
Online listening in class was one of the most fun and interesting activities in the ESP classes. I think that the tapes were very interesting and useful and the fact that we were listening to native English dialect speaking individuals is also nice. I believe that now I will be able to understand faster in English speaking people.
All in all, the ESP classes were very useful and I think that I will be carrying out a lot of knowledge from them.
