Queue Psychology

The queue phenomenon began in Britain and was accepted by other parts of the world afterwards. From that day scientist have been studying queues and developing new ways of managing them.

Most facilities in Europe are now using multi-service lines. Nevertheless, some public place in the US had switched to only one long line.

A new controversial study shows that people tend to get upset because they believe losing more time than they really do while waiting in lines. Some hotels addressed this problem from the unusual point of view. They decided to provide a possibility for their customers to occupy themselves with some sort of an activity while waiting. This approach proved to be successful.

The airlines had also shown innovative thinking while sorting the queue problem. They made the departure of the plane more fair to the passengers. Everyone became obligated to travel the same distance and wait for the same amount of time.

In the conclusion, one might say that researchers are continuing to study lines and that new discoveries are being put in use every day.

My Future Profession

In this short writting I will try to explain to everyone who is reading and also to myself why have I chosen to study psychology and mabey even to dream about something important...Something like imagining what would I like to do with my life. In other words lets try and find my future profession.

Firstly, I beleave everyone had there dream career as they were children. Mine was very simple and not to original. As almost all of my friends I wanted to become a fireman. I thought about the idea of saving people from dangers fascinating. A smile comes to my face everytime I remember my childish dreams, but even now the idea of helping people does not look silly. Mabey this is one of the main reasons I decided to relate myself with the field of psychology. One might ask why not dream about becoming a doctor or a social worker. The vast majority of the society believes that especialy these professions do the most good to other people. The truth is that they are writh. People who relate themselves with helping others deserve respect and are trully fascinating. Newertheles, the field of psychology is also a very useful tool in improveing the lives of others. So one is safe to say that psychology is a proffesion that gives pozitive things to others and it is one of the reasons I chose to study it.

In the conclusion I might say that not ewerything is as simple as it seems. It is wery dificult to hilight some aspects and tell them that they are the reasons why you do what you do. Newertheles it is worth trying.
